Whether you are a college athlete, in a fraternity or sorority, a student government officer or working and going to school, the load of your schedule can quickly become overwhelming. And when overwhelming hits, it can lead to the “Why am I here,” or “What am I supposed to be doing now?” brain burnout.
Stressed out Students in the Greek Community
There is a lot of emphasis on drug and alcohol abuse, but not early enough focus on what is causing it…the stress caused by the desire to fit in, or numb out and hide. The manifestation of the stress can lead to drug and alcohol, it also leads to eating disorders, cutting, promiscuity, abusive relationships and more. This isn’t a single path these students are following. They head in whatever direction feels good when they don’t.

Are You Selfish about Your Lifestyle?
There are two potential ways to answer “yes” to this question. The first group will readily respond an energetic “Yes!” because they live a lifestyle that includes a healthy diet, exercise, balance and happiness. The second group will answer no because they don’t even see that their lifestyle is selfish. They life on a river in Egypt called Denial.
