Four steps to expressing your emotions with feeling

January 24, 2013

Sounds simple enough doesn’t it? What a silly thing to write about. Well, not so fast! There are many people in this country and on this planet that don’t really know how to feel and express their emotions. Hence the onslaught of additions: drug abuse, alcoholism, eating disorders, cutters, gamblers, sex addicts and more. All situations fed by the simple fact that we don’t know how to deal with things that make us feel uncomfortable.

So he did it – digesting the lies of Lance Armstrong

January 22, 2013

I was a believer…I really thought Lance Armstrong had a special gift. I cheered him on watching tour after tour and was impressed by how cool this was…seven Tour de France wins in a fow. He’s one of the few celebs I followed on Twitter. Then the accusations grew, I waited for his response and was certainly swayed by how strongly he retorted to the “witch hunt” of the USADA.

Dealing with pushy people in your life

January 19, 2013

Do you keep it real?

January 17, 2013

From a young age we learn that it’s okay to “shape” the truth at times. Some parents even tell us that it’s okay to tell white lies (a harmless or trivial lie, esp. one told to avoid hurting someone’s feelings.)

Something I heard early in my sales career that proved to be true on many occasions is, “People think it’s okay lie to a sales person and still get to heaven.”

Keeping motivation inspirational

January 15, 2013

As you pursue achievement of your goal, you will discover bends and curves in the road ahead. The more you focus on your goal you will begin to see things that can be viewed as obstacles and you may feel stuck. However, by understanding that part of the process of reaching a goal is getting to the obstacles and learning how to navigate around them, over them or under them you will soon see that everything that happens is there for your benefit.
