Is it that time in your house? Are you or one of your offsprings headed off the college for the first time or returning for another year? It is fun, stressful, exciting, scary time for most students and parents I know. For parents of first time college students there is the fear of letting them go for the first time and wondering how they will do without you.
Come Back to the Land of the Living
Are you one of the millions of people that is a walking zombie, totally zoned out? It’s difficult to keep pushing where you aren’t even really there because you’re on overload. I was at a luncheon today and the speaker talked about the number companies that cut employees back in ’08 and asked their employees to do more with less, and how they now have gotten used to functioning that way and she doesn’t expect it to get better. Well that’s a fine how-do-you-do isn’t it?
See it, Feel it, Be it
The way your incredible brain is wired is to support you in setting goals, visualizing and attaining them. In short, your brain is a goal seeking missle. By using your creative imagination you can explore new territory you never thought possible.
Do you live life on purpose?
Do you create the results you want in your life, or are you just along for the ride and feel like life happens to you? There is a big difference!
Are you connected with what you feel passionate about, or are you merely existing day-to-day wishing you were happier, weighed less, had a job you loved, had a better relationship, or had money to do the things you want to do in life? These are all things you have the ability to control once you have the skillset and know how to implement them.
Powerful Women, Incredible Cause
But the best part about doing an event like this is that it gives me the opportunity to raise money and support a great cause. A portion of the proceeds from our women’s retreat will be donated to SafeHouse Denver to help provide shelter for victims of domestic abuse and their children.
