What do you think about when you prepare your budget? What line items on there on the list if you manage your budget proactively? Most people don’t budget for unexpected medical bills. It would look out of place as a line item:
I spent last weekend in St. Paul, Minnesota at the Northern Plains NACA Conference. My first time stepping outside the fraternity marketing to reach out to college students. NACA stands for the National Association of Campus Activities. Interesting concept, at this regional conference just over 800 student delegates and their advisors attended to watch and listen to showcases (15 minute sample) of musicians, bands, comedians, magicians, hypnotists and speakers like myself.
Nutrition is the foundation of your health. Without good healthy nutrition you can’t improve your qualify of life and enjoy great health and boundless energy. So many illnesses and ailments are linked to nutrition but western doctors aren’t trained in nutrition so they prescribe medications and hope the patient gets better. A band-aid at best because it doesn’t address the root of the problem and doesn’t begin the healing process.
If I had a dollar for every time I heard “I don’t know what to eat,” when talking to someone who wants to eat healthier or lose weight I would be a very wealthy woman. This is a common issue that until I starting speaking five years ago I didn’t realize how much of a problem it is.
In order to make a difference in your eating habits you’ve got to make it a priority. If it is important to you and you know why you’re going to do it, you’ll honor it. Once that decision is made, the actual process is just a matter of learning a new habit.
