It seems that in the world we live in today, “we,” like to build people up—and then destroy them quickly if we see one small chink in the armor. Wow – not a very forgiving culture of “humans” are we?
Have you learned to surf yet?
Just like the ocean our lives bring us the ebb and flow of exploration, circumstances and events. At times the ebb and flow stays in rhythm and you can enjoy basking in the balance it provides. Then there are times when the waves get bigger and you may not see “the big one” until it hits you. Bam! You weren’t expecting that to happen.
Attain 50/50 in the Workplace
The core theme at this fundraiser was breaking the barrier of the consensus that at the current rate it will take over 79 years before women and men have 50/50 equality in the work place. Not only in terms of salary, but shattering the glass ceiling and having equality in the upper ranks of corporate America.
Up, Up and Away
For some reason whenever I travel my brain opens up. I mean really opens up. As soon as the airplane lifts off the ground it’s as if the expanse of the sky has literally penetrated my brain with a huge influx of air as if to take the deepest breath I’ve had in months.
Do You Ever Misremember?
It has been an interesting week in the world of journalism. Watching a person that seems affable, trustworthy and to me, is always entertaining on the late night shows take a fall from grace. And while I don’t watch the news I have read a few articles online with varying degrees of speculation on Brian Williams story.
