Does your life flow? Is it often when you’re going through your day that you are aware of the flow of energy, events and happenings in your life? If you are—you’ve developed your skills at living in the moment and being aware.
One of the simplest things you can do is to live in awareness, yet as humans on this planet we’ve muddied the waters and made it difficult to achieve. Does your To Do list drive your day? Are there shrieks of “Oh Shit!” when you missed a deadline, are running late, or realized your shoes don’t match because you left in such a hurry? Uh-huh…I know I’ve been there.
In my quest to help business women create more abundance and success in their lives, the first step is to help them slow down. And for the clients who function in life like I used to, that first step is a big one.
I think what makes it frustrating to try and slow down, to attempt to eat healthier, make time for exercise, or God forgive pat yourself on the back for a job well done is that you think it can happen over night. Transformation takes time.
These habits and patterns you’ve lived with are well-developed and ingrained into your DNA, but you can shift them. It’s not easy to do alone because when you’re running on auto-pilot you don’t even see or hear the times when you get sucked back into your old habits. Here’s three things you can do today to move closer to living a life of success and abundance:
1. Write down your top five goals. Consider business, personal, social/community, recreation, relationships, spiritual, financial.
2. Write down three reasons why you want each goal. Dig deep! What will happen when you achieve this goal? How will your life change? Does it take you away from pain or toward pleasure? Do you care enough to do it?
3. Contemplate how you will make it happen. Successful people have coaches. A coach provides support, encouragement, accountability and helps you dream bigger than you thought possible. Having a coach working with you on the sidelines creates a wonderful synergy in bringing awareness, setting and reaching for higher goals and living a life of abundance. The more success and abundance you create, the easier it will be for you to help others.
You can create and live the life of your dreams. It’s almost the New Year what plans will you make for 2015? What are you sick of? Does sabotage always stop you?
