How to COPE when you’re feeling stuck in Neutral

September 3, 2020

Here we are, nearly 6 months after the initial kabash on life as we know it, and still no definitive answers on when more normalcy will return. It’s a challenge, one that hits you energetically, emotionally and in your motivational core.

I’ve had my days for sure—when the never-ending construction in my neighborhood combined with being stuck at home, and told what I can and cannot do feels overwhelming. The one thing that isn’t as easy to see amidst all of this is how the stress affects your body and your brain.

We absorb far more (stress) than most people realize. And the constant pressure, unknowns and limitations contribute to the depletion of your brain chemistry. This is why you may be ready to scream at every little annoying noise, your kids, your employees or co-workers (via webmeeting of course) and why you may be reaching for more of the chocolate, alcohol, pizza or other “carbaholic” comfort items that convert to simple sugars.

The simple sugars then elevate your blood sugar levels, and if you’re not making decisions from awareness, you get sucked in by the sugar train. The sugar train contributes to lower energy, foggy thinking, lethargy and cravings for more of that sweet stuff. And often results in feeling out of control.

With these factors contributing to your mind and body, you may find yourself really unmotivated, really emotionally blah, or with a heightened sense of irritation and frustration. You’re just trying to survive. But that’s not the basis for living for very long, is it?

As month after month has progressed with all of these limitations, I’ve contemplated what and how I can support you in a more direct way. To help you regain (or stay) focused, to elevate your mood and outlook on life, and facilitate taking time to center yourself so you’re approaching life from a solid foundation. If you don’t do it, no one else can do it for you.

As a result of my commitment to serve and support you, I’m doing something I’ve never done before. I’m launching a new live weekly gathering: 30 Minutes for Mindset

This is free for you to join.
All you need to do is register to receive the meeting information.

My goal is to provide a place for you to come on a weekly basis where you unplug from all that is around you, and invest time in yourself to exhale, reset and get centered. It doesn’t take long, but provides a bundle of benefits for your body and mind.

Come join us, this is my gift to you!
