In a world filled with “followers,” what’s your path?
Do you follow, or do you lead?
Are you more curious about what someone else is doing (on social) or are you focused on what you can do?
Did you get caught up in the need to let everyone else know what you’re doing, where you are and who you’re with?
I’ve never been one to stay between the lines, to do what everyone else is doing – because it’s popular.
Or because someone says it’s the thing to do. Nope. I’m a born skeptic.
Being a skeptic helps me look at the full picture.
To question, to be curious, to learn and hopefully to understand.
That’s one of the values to me of being a skeptic.
It allows me to follow my own path, no matter what someone else is doing.
I know what feels right to me.
I know what resonates with me, and what gives me the creepy, “run away!” vibe.
And I live my life tuned in to what the feeling in my body is telling me.
No, it wasn’t always that way.
I’ve learned to tune in to my body, to trust my intuition.
I’ve been rewarded for it, when things work out in a way that surprises me and when life is in flow.
And I’ve been through, “I knew better,” and had things go sideways because I ignored my inner guidance system.
Most people in my line of work say it’s all about social media.
You’ve got to be out there posting 4 times a day, 7 days a week! That is sooooooo, not me.
I believe the best way for me to provide value and help someone is through conversations. One person at a time.
My business grows when I’m having FUN.
Whether engaging an audience I’m speaking for or celebrating the success of a coaching client (they do so many amazing things!).
Having an approach that is based on personal connection allows me to lead with certainty.
To be more authentic, compassionate and courageous in the conversations I have with people.
I have a genuine curiosity for people I meet…I love spending time in conversation, learning about people.
It fuels what makes every day fun for me.
I’ve just started work with a new client.
A company asked me to facilitate conversations and communication between women and men. Why?
They are experiencing continuing complaints and issues with gender bias.
Quite common in a male dominated industry.
So we posed the question, what if conversations were more collaborative?
What if there was more of a level of comfort in working together?
What if there was more trust and respect in the organization?
How much could this improve their ability to reach goals, exceed expectations and improve the experience for their customers?
The benefits can be far-reaching and contagious. I love it.
What if you enjoyed your work life vs. dreading it?
What if you felt energized to go to work vs. feeling drained and exhausted at the end of the day?
What if “that person” that causes all the drama, didn’t affect you?
How much could this improve your quality of life?
What if you see that Anything Is Possible
vs. fighting for your limitations?
What if you decided to lead instead of follow?
To find your own path…and show others the way to it?
Ask yourself, what do I need to be a stronger leader?
To ignore the outside noise?
What could you do…if you chose to lead?
Life is too short to feel stuck, to be unhappy, to power your way through an ugly situation.
Life is too short to know there is something else you want to do…and be stuck in the fear of “what if?”
I’ve enjoyed taking big (calculated) risks ever since starting my business in 2008.
Sometimes I live on the edge…stepping out into the unknown.
I know that everything I want is on the other side of an uncomfortable feeling.
Dealing with the shit that doesn’t feel easy. I’ve seen the beautiful rewards it brings.
Success is so much fun!
Feeling satisfied with where I am in life, is an incredible feeling.
Because we’re human, there is always a next.
Next goal, next dream, next desire.
Next celebration of turning a dream into reality.
What’s your dream?
What do you need to begin to make it your reality?
If you’re stuck, if you don’t know where to start, if you’re frustrated, if you’re afraid to fail again…
Let’s have a short chat and see if having a deep conversation – just the two of us – might be exactly what you need to help you lead. Schedule time to talk with me.
