This month makes 15 years since I started my business as an author, speaker and coach. What a journey it has been!
A quick stroll down memory lane…
Learn2Balance was started when I wrote my first book It Started with Pop-Tarts: An Alternative Approach to Winning the Battle of Bulimia.
At that point I thought I was here to share my 25-year journey of overcoming an eating disorder to help young girls and women find healing.
I successfully helped many girls and women find freedom from their obsession and create the life they longed to live, with my alternative approach.
After 6 years it was apparent, this was not why I was put on this planet!
I chose to pivot and support female executives and leaders (and the men who show up 😉) with empowerment: to find their voice, create balance, release their limitations and reach dreams and goals bigger than they knew they could.
From Day One my holistic approach has been integrated with nutrition.
I’ve shifted from accountability coaching to being a transformational coach…helping you do the deep, life-changing work.
I continue to be inspired by the shifts my clients make and where it takes them.
I’ve delivered hundreds of speeches, met and inspired many thousands of people. (Still my passion and first love.)
That first book turned into five that I’ve published, so far…two more are percolating in the brain as we speak.
I’ve written newspaper columns, been published in national magazines and enjoyed media tours with international radio and TV.
It wasn’t easy…
There were big obstacles and bumps in the road. When I started my business I had a book and knew I wanted to speak. That’s all I had.
I lost my sales job in Cali – I didn’t have things set up yet. But my heart said GO! And I took the leap.
I lost my home in the process of figuring out the entrepreneur thing, and moved back to Colorado.
I pulled double duty for 6 1/2 years. Working full-time and coaching in the evening.
I realigned my business to Lori Hanson International.
I made a commitment
Then I took the leap again, the second time with no Plan B.
Fully committed to sharing my gifts and living in my Zone of Genius.
Now I’m having fun! My business is growing and I’m manifesting things I used to dream about. I continue to walk my talk ‘cos that’s the only way I roll.
