Years ago, when I first started my business I always included a “Life Lesson from Sasha” in my monthly newsletters. As a growing puppy my Malamute, Sasha, continually gave me awesome life lessons. (If you’re interested, you’ll find these articles on my blog, just enter the keyword SASHA in the search box and voila!)
Despite what I had planned to share today for my Weekly Wisdom, this video says it more powerfully than I ever could! Whether you are a dog person or not, I suspect you’ll relate to the dramatic life lesson demonstrated here.
Two things of note:
1 – The objective of an agility competition is to complete the course in the fastest time possible
2 – With no “faults” aka deductions
As I watched this video, the harder I laughed—until I was dying. Kiska even came in to see if I was okay, I was laughing so hard.
Life Lessons from a Canine:
1 – Individuality can be appreciated, even when you don’t follow the “rules” (someone else’s rules).
2 – Follow your own path and people will respect you for it!
3 – If you have a unique approach, go for it—even if it is outside the lines—it will distinguish you.
4 – Remember to BE YOU, and be authentic no matter what you do!
5 – And maybe most importantly, always take time to stop and pose, er, I mean stop and smell the roses on the path.
6 – Be in THIS moment, not looking behind, or looking too far ahead. Enjoy the journey, stop and paws…pause and wait for the audience applause, when appropriate. Absorb others appreciation of you with confidence and take a bow!
7 – Who cares if people laugh? Make people laugh and they will be friends for life.
BE YOU!!!
What will you enjoy most on your journey today? Make it fun!
